Spring Equinox Celebration

Join us on Saturday March 21st, from 4:30 to 7:30, as we celebrate Spring Equinox and Ostara, the ancient festival of fertility and the arrival of Spring. From the symbolic rabbit representing abundance to the literal sowing of seeds, this is a time to honor the new life emerging.

Angie Curtes leads the group in mixing a Biodynamic Prep-Stir

What to Expect

We begin the day with a water blessing ceremony led by Bridget Center founder, Peggy Kober. With this sacred water, we hand it off to Angie Curtes (Grounded LLC), who will lead us through a discussion and demonstration on Biodynamics. Together we will prepare a horn manure "prep-stir" and introduce this rich microbiome mixture to the land in gratitude for all it provides. These microorganisms will break down organic matter into nutrients for the plants. The process builds a dark, rich soil structure from soil that may be mostly clay, sand, silt, or dust. Good soil structure mitigates erosion, increases aeration and slows rainwater infiltration, retaining more water for plants to drink and allowing it to filter more thoroughly into the groundwater. Overall, these tiny creatures are essential for creating a thriving ecosystem.

"Microbiology is a journey through the invisible kingdoms,

exploring the profound influence of the infinitesimal in shaping the visible world."

-Aloo Denish Obiero, Kenyan biochemist and author
