Wheel of the Year Calendar

We celebrate the seasonal changes of our Earth and its relationship to us and the Cosmos. There are a number of seasonal events and celebrations, and volunteer work days in the works, so stay tuned to our calendar!

We’re putting a lot of effort into getting these building renovations started to better facilitate the educational and event programming we want to support. If you, or if you know anyone who wants to support this Mission and Vision, please Contact Us, and/or Donate!

The following listed dates are when these seasons are traditionally celebrated. Stay tuned for updates on specific date and time for our future events.

  • February 1 - Imbolc / St. Bridget’s Feast Day

We celebrate the stirring of Spring and the return of sunlight. It is also the day celebrating Bridget and all that she represents: the Healer, the Poet and the Blacksmith.

We are excited to announce this Imbolc Bridget Center will be hosting Leona Knobloch for a late afternoon Full Moon Luminary Guided Nature Hike. Join us for time to connect with the cycles of Nature and welcome the beginning of the next growing season. Click here to RSVP!

  • March 21 - Ostara / Easter / Spring Equinox

We celebrate the return of Spring, awakening, rebirth, fertility, and new life emerging. This time of year marks the half-way point between Winter and Summer Solstices, and the balancing of sunlight and darkness.

  • May 1 - Beltaine /

We celebrate the peak of Spring and the stirrings of Summer, new life, fertility, abundance, and the sacred union of masculine and feminine energies, Earth and Sky.

  • June 21 - Litha / Summer Solstice

We celebrate the light, fire and power of the sun and all it does to sustain life. This day marks the most amount of sunlight throughout the year, bringing plants into peak growing season. Season of turning outward, gathering with friends and loved ones, and the expression of one’s ambitions.

  • August 1 - Lammas / Lughnasadh

We celebrate the kickoff to Ireland’s version of Thanksgiving season. We celebrate Gratitude and abundance as the planting season comes to an end and harvest season begins. This day traditionally honors the Celtic god, Lugh, often presented as the counterpart to goddess Bridget.

  • September 21 - Mabon / Fall Equinox

We celebrate gratitude for the second harvest, Nature’s bounty and abundance. This day marks the halfway point between Summer and Winter Solstices.

  • November 1 - Samhain / All Soul’s Day '/ Dia de los Muertos

We celebrate the Celtic New Year, honor our ancestors, and prepare for the returning darkness of Winter.

  • December 21 - Yule / Winter Solstice / Christmas / Hanukkah / Kwanza

We celebrate the darkness and how it reminds us of how vital the light truly is. Around the world many cultures traditionally celebrate their holidays (Holy Days). Aside from the normal social gatherings, it is a time to turn inward to rest, and dream about what the upcoming year has to bring.

Snow Moon Luminary Hike

Traditionally Imbolc [an ancient Celtic festival to honor the mid point between winter solstice and the spring eqinox], can be celebrated with candle lighting, spring cleaning, starting seedlings, and crafting Brigid’s crosses. At Bridget Center we welcome Imbolc and Brigid’s Day with a full snow moon hike in collaboration with our partners from Saron Sophia!

Join us for a luminary hike under the full snow moon on February 1st from 5:30-7:30pm at Bridget Center (N9003 Townline Rd, Kewaskum, WI 53040).  Luminary lit trails will allow us to connect with nature in the twilight hours in the energy of the full moon." - insert from Bridget Center's January Newsletter
