Founded in the legacy of Saint Bridget, that calls for the spiritual energy of the divine feminine, doula or midwife of change ... holding sacred space for endings which are always a beginning, the experience of transformation.
Herstory
March 17, 2009, while on the grounds of a closed St. Bridget Chapel/School building, on a hilltop, in the countryside of Kewaskum, WI, USA, Planet Earth,Peggy Kober received a ‘vision’ by way of a strong vibration through her heart…‘It shall be common ground to grow on.’
December 5, 2012 the land and buildings were purchased to create sacred space for emergence. The call was to love something into being, not knowing what it was. That same day the 501c3 charitable social profit designation was declared by the IRS as a spirituality and learning center.Events and blessings followed in the years to come.
December 21, 2012 was very cold and dark at Bridget Center with 15 inches of fresh snow a handful of people gathered. Something was quietly birthing that winter solstice.
June, 2013 Sacred Key Symbol was created and infused with the intention of the project as a peace and sustainability center for Oneness although Kober didn’t understand what this all meant at this time.
July 2014 Labyrinth was created on the land as the start of Bridget’s Gratitude Gardens.
May, 2017 Bee hives were placed on the land by farmer Dan Stoffel.
June 2017 Bridget’s Community Apothecary officially began with the first two organic crops on the North Field. Milky Oats were harvested by hand on Labor Day weekend and made into tincture and tea. Its companion crop, Red Clover traditionally blooms in the second season, Spring 2018.
July 2017 Beautiful World Center was the namegiven to the former school building.
November 2017 Beautiful World Centergets a new roof as the former roof was failing. This required a leap of faith… replacing the roof without the funds fully collected. November 11, 2017 cremains of a Bridget Center Herbalist, Phyllis Heitkamp, were placed in an area designated as the Outer Gardens Green Burial intended for giftingour organic bodies back to the earth.
